Whacky arty types of all kinds have been making the pilgrimage to the Black Rock Desert in Nevada for the Burning Man festival since 1990. Over 50,000 people attended this years week-long celebration, which is billed as “an annual experiment in temporary community dedicated to radical self-expression and radical self-reliance.” Right!

The event is more of a temporary city than a traditional festival and these captures by Photographer Scott London are the best I’ve seen yet. It’s like Mad Max on acid.
