Last week ad creatives James Beswick and Dan White remembered the late Beastie Boys rapper Adam “MCA” Yauch with a guerilla art installation at the MCA (Museum of Contemporary Art).

Their tribute, which is in aid of Cancer Council, involved hiring a professional human statue, decking him out in classic MCA gear and creating an unauthorised exhibit in one of the galleries. A placard resembling official signage was stealthily blu-taced to the wall beside the performer to help the illusion and explain the stunt to museum goers.

“We just wanted to do something a bit different to honour of MCA” said Beswick, “Obviously the MCA seemed like a perfect place to do this. We thought we’d try and turn a few heads and raise a few smiles whilst raising some money for a brilliant cause.”
