I recently caught up with Matt who acquired a new set of bronze CR Kai’s for his 1998 Toyota Chaser. I had been meaning to shoot his car for a while now so we decided to head out to my favourite location and get some photos before heading to sushi train for dinner.
I didn’t develop an admiration for JZX100’s until Matt picked up his Chaser from Melbourne just over a year ago. There’s something about nice-looking sedans that makes you want to own one and Matt’s is no exception. I get a sense of enjoyment whenever I jump in his car for passenger runs and see his flurry of flashing lights and colours coming off the Defi gauge arrangement. I love how luxurious and comfortable the spacious interior is and would totally consider owning one as a daily if I were to ever sell my R34.
Sized up at 18×9.5 +20 all round, I think his new wheel choice complements the car nicely. With similar fitment to my TE37SL’s we are planning to do a swap, so keep an eye out!
