It was a rough time, but storms never last forever right? New laptop was acquired and focus was dead set on covering Import Expo DC presented by Vinyl Kings.
This year’s Import Expo in DC was going to be one massive event! Since I enjoyed my time visiting Washington DC last year and covering this event last year, I have decided to cover Import Expo again. Title sponsor of the event, Vinyl Kings NYC, SoTrendy, and Impulse Automotive teamed up with Import Expo to put on a show. SoTrendy brought one of the most decorative models in the modeling industry to the East Coast, Tianna Gregory. RAD! I got the opportunity to meet and talk with Tianna a bit and even snapped a selfie with her. She also signed posters, took photos with us fans even hilarious one’s, and modeled a couple of cars. Featured model at the show, Faith Marone was there as well meeting and greeting with her fans and followers. Malissa Oricchio and Emmalene Rebecca, Hannah Sell, and Lyane Ramos were present as well modeling at the event. And Gianna Matrumalo was not really prepared to model, but we decided to shoot some anyway! So many great vibes from these ladies!

This year’s Import Expo event was extremely diverse in car builds. Drew Evans 2013 Infiniti G37XS that is Liberty Walk kitted, I finally got the opportunity to see in person. MAN! What a phenomenal build! Stillen supercharged, Work Meisters wrapped in meaty 325’s by Toyo Tires, Candy Apple Red paint, and decaled up tuner style. I absolutely love everything about that car. Flawless! Just a couple of rows over is one of the best Honda Accord coupe builds I have ever seen. Built by Technologyr and Gato Performance. This build is absolutely MENTAL! The first 2014 Honda Accord to be twin-turbocharged with full motor build, custom trunk, big brake kit (8 piston front, 6 piston in the rear), and has custom one of one Sparco fixed backseats. And the wheels are one of one made by Luxury Abstract called Telum. Gorgeous set of wheels! This is currently putting down 630hp on 17lbs of boost. Next horsepower goal for this masterpiece is 800hp! At the show, I noticed that there were some super clean lowrider builds. My buddy Ranger Ramirez (Owner of Elite Tuner) brought his Mitsubishi Evolution X that is gorgeously wrapped by Wrap Specialties, and specialty created color by Avery Dennison Graphics in a color called “ColorFlow”. This wrap is crazy looking, and mesh well with his set of SSR wheels.

There were some great vendors that participated in the show at Import Expo. Stay N’ Moist, Vinyl Kings NYC, Tuner Evolution, Offensive Fitment, SoTrendy, Canibeat, and more. Cristian Loza of Canibeat was taking care of things at the Canibeat booth, and we even got a chance to catch up for a bit. It was really awesome seeing all of my friends, sharing laughs, and shooting Faith and Gianna. And meeting Tianna was such an amazing experience as well. Thank to Bret Zheng and the rest of the Import Expo staff for setting up fantastic show. Congratulations to all of the winners at the show that took home a trophy or more multiple trophies.
