Yummy mummy drives stick, loves modifying cars, pole dancing, playing her guitar and singing too. For ALL STARS, I hunker down with super talented local Sydney girl Jamielyn Salvador from Filthy Ones to talk cars and pole dancing.

Please tell us a bit about yourself.
Well, my name is Jamielyn Salvador (Jamie for short). I’m 21 years old and from Western Sydney! Though I’m not your typical 21 year old girl… I spend more money on car parts than I do on clothes & shoes and I go to all the car meets and events instead of clubbing and partying!

I’m blessed with a beautiful 3 year old daughter who also chooses cars over Dora and Princesses, and the most amazing boyfriend. He taught me everything I know with cars.

What do you do to pay the bills?
I’m currently working for the Harvey Norman head office in the accounts department.

What was the first car you owned?
My first car is my current car! A 2009 40th anniversary civic (FD1) . Bought it stock as a rock from a dealership!

How did you get into cars and driving?
I always loved cars. I grew up being the only (and youngest) girl between my 6 male cousins. I would be playing with toy cars and Need For Speed on playstation more than playing barbie and dress ups because of them, and when I got my license, I fell in love with driving! I thought it was just a phase, but my love for it grew, especially after learning manual.. As for now, it’s easy to say that my boyfriend Brent, is definitely my biggest influence with the cars and everything it involves!

What’s the most fun you’ve had in a car?
Installing my air bag suspension was definitely the most fun and exciting experience for me (so far). Driving a turbo car and hitting VTEC for the first time were fun too, but installing my bags with no one else’s help but Brent’s, was one of the best weekends! I don’t know if it’s weird or not to find working on cars “fun”, but I do love it, and there is a lot more I’d like to learn how to do.

What inspires you?
Easy! My family.

We’ve spotted (stalked!) photos of you on a pole. Care to share?
Of course! I’m extremely passionate about my pole dancing. Its art and strength in the most beautiful form! I started in November 2011 and am currently doing my first level of Advanced! I have a desire to teach, to share, express and grow my art!

We’ve also watched some videos of you playing a guitar, and singing sweet tunes!
Aahh yes! I have been singing for as long as I can remember! I would’ve been around the age of 5, and I started performing in competitions not long after I started. I taught myself guitar a few years ago just to accompany my voice, but I only sing for fun now-a-days!
