The ALL STARS S15 has had a blown gearbox for a while now (Sergio blew 4th). Last week he sourced a 6 speed and put a call out for help to install it. John Lor and Ryan Lewis put their hands up, and last night, with a bit of moral support from the boys, Asahi, pizza and heaps of blood, sweat and swearing the job was done.

John Lor was first on the scene at 7PM, straight from work (JDMyard). Was nice to see my old DC2R. It’s now sitting a little lower on mugen suspension.

Jason, Jake and Aleks came soon after for the hang (this is Jake’s new toy!).

John got straight to work, literally. He rocked up, tools out, then (knowing it was going to be a long night) got right into it.

Half an hour later Ryan rocked up, he too got right into it!

Ryan, stylin in a MOTUL one-piece.

The gearbox proved very hard to get out. A few hours in and the swearing had begun.

Ben lowering the gearbox via bungy.

Gearbox finally came out, then it was kicked and thrown around a bit.

A break was had. Asahi’s were dunked and Pizza was demolished.

We all went outside to check Dom’s GT-R too which was freshly painted. On the way, Ryan’s MKI Golf.

Ben’s S15.

And Dom’s Matte White R33.

12AM. Back inside the 6 speed gearbox went in pretty quickly, Sergio provided much comic relief (yup that’s grease all over his face).
