As much as I love sexy fashion editorial photography I’m always well aware that most, if not all of it, is fake. The insane amounts of photoshopping done to make models commercially ‘perfect’ is technically impressive, but it’s also quite sickeningly deceiving.
Enter MeInMyPlace, my new fave photography site. The concept is wonderfully simple – To celebrate the beauty of everyday women in the comfort of their own homes.

By creating evocative and alluring portraits of women with body types that have traditionally been left out of mainstream media, MeInMyPlace is redefining a genre that has been over-run with unrealistic expectations of what it means to be beautiful. With full acceptance of the “male gaze”, the images promote not just acceptance, but also an aspirational message. In the vernacular… “Work it girl!”
