I’ve lusted after Eames lounge chair ever since graduating from design school. Much like a classic Porsche 911, the older I get and the more time goes on, the more I feel the need to own one.
For me, an Eames Lounge Chair with Ottoman (designed in 1956) is an object of Desire. It totally pisses me off that I’ve wanted this chair for years and recently my mother bought one. WTF! I got mad at her, couldn’t help myself. Her reply was that I could come home any time to sit in it… not having it in your own lounge room is just not the same thing.
I want the entire collection. I can’t stand the replicas. I want the real deal.
