This is a clip we stumbled into on YouTube of Tony Hawk’s first 900 in competition. The video was uploaded by a guy who was cleaning out his garage and found a box of old VHS tapes (respect! it’s guys like this that keep it real!).
Sure, we love it that all of Tony’s mates (competition if you prefer), decide to egg him on attempt after attempt after attempt until he finally nails the 900… but what really blows us away is that in 1999 there are
no mobile phones, no internet, no social media, just people interacting with each other and having a great time.
